Brandon Flowers is the lead singer for U.S. rock band The Killers.
Today Island Records announced that his debut solo album titled "Flamingo" will be released onSeptember 14.The 29-year-old singer of the Americanrock band recorded the solo album working with the same producer fromThe Killers' third album "Day & Age." Theres already asingle for the Flowers' album: "Crossfire," According tothe press release the album is "inextricably tied to [Las]Vegas in both showmanship and ideology,"
That 10-track album was produced withhelp from Stuart Price, Brendan O'Brien (Pearl Jam, Stone TemplePilots) and Daniel Lanois (Bob Dylan, U2). Jenny Lewis is alsoproviding backing vocals on two different tracks.
At the beginning of the year he Killlersannounced an hiatus after being on the road for the better part ofsix years, but they kept working. Ray Davies had chosen The Killersto contribute to a cover album of The Kinks' songs, due out at theend of the year and Ronnie Vannucci Jr. will join Mt. Desolation,with members of Keane and Mumford & Sons, to release an album ofcountry songs in the near future.
