The "
Mean Girls" star and her assistant are officially suspects in the theft of $100,000 worth of watches and sunglasses,
TMZ reports.
According to the report,
LiLo and her assistant
Gavin Doyle were at Sam Magid a week ago when
Sam called the police and reported a jewelry theft.
And if you think that's suspicious, here comes another interesting turn of events. It looks like
Magid changed his story and is now claiming nothing was stolen.
However, the cops are not closing the investigation because they believe there are witnesses ready to point the actress and her assistant as the thieves of the jewelry.
Lindsay and
Gavin's lawyer has been contacted by LAPD detectives for an interview with the two, but the lawyer rejected the request.

Lohan just can catch a break. If she is proven guilty of theft, she is most likely going to jail as she is currently on probation for the theft of a necklace from a Venice jewelry store.
A week ago, the "
Liz & Dick" star, obviously upset by all the negative press she's getting lately,
tweeted:
"All of this negative press is BS.... Whenever I'm doing great, people fabricate lies. It's such a shame. I'm just sayin' xo "
