Katy Perry Rejects $20 Million "American Idol" Deal

5675a3a1-c82d-460b-a920-4ee02c8e6f3d.jpgLooks like the rumors were true. Katy Perry was one of the wanted judges to fill in the empty chairs on "American Idol" this year. Saying was because TMZ reports that the singer rejected the deal.

And she rejected not just any deal, but a $20 million offer which would have made her the highest-paid reality TV judge ever, topping Mariah Carey who earns $18 million per year for her "Idol" gig.

So why did Katy pass on that generous offer? She simply did not have the time to do it and she also didn't feel like it would have been the right career move for her.

Seems about right.

Now,  we need to find out if Nicki Minaj is ready to join "Idol" or not.
