There are several kind of records in the Billboard's Hot list.

Some records are easy to break, some harder . But jumping 50 places directly to number one its by all ways a impressive achievement.
This record was managed by the british newcomer Taio Cruz who starting in the 52th place arrived to number one on Billboard's Hot 100 singles chart in the United States. Cruz's "Break Your Heart," featuring rapper Ludacris is relaxing at the number one position after the big jump.
The old record happened seven years ago when American Idol's Kelly Clarkson put her song "A moment Like This" from number 51 to the top in September 2002.
Cruz's "Break Your Heart" sold 273,000 downloads in its first full week of availability, to also claim the No. 1 slot on Digital Songs. It debuted at No. 1 in the U.K. last September.
Cruz's American success comes five months after other British star, Jay Sean, topped the American charts with the single Down. Until Sean's triumph, there hadn't been any UK male solo act in the top spot since 2006 when James Blunt succeeded with You're Beautiful.
Cruz new album "Rockstarr" that was released in UK last october will be out in the US later this year.
Its possible that we'll be seeing more of this british star in the top positions later in the year when he releases his next single Dirty Picture, which features Ke$ha.
