The Saturdays member talked to Glamour UK about her struggle with panic attacks and depression.
Frankie Sandford is gracing the cover of
Glamour UK April 2012 issue.
The beautiful singer
opened up for the very first time about her battle with depression and panic attacks.
Frankie was hospitalized last year, but little did we know that she was struggling with depression for over eight years.
"I felt that I was worthless, that I was ugly, that I didn't deserve anything. I though people would think 'What have you got to be depressed about?'", she told the
magazine.
Thankfully,
The Saturdays singer was able to find all the support she needed to overcome her condition.
"A doctor told me it's like having asthma: it's something you have, it's not going to go away. That made me feel better".
Her band members were very supportive of Frankie too: "They were like 'Why didn't you tell us?' I'd got so good at covering it up, I didn't confide in anyone", the singer revealed.
Frankie was released from the hospital after one month of treatment and was able to tour with her band.
The singer is now fronting the MIND campaign whose goal is to help anyone who suffers from depression. If you or anyone you know, needs help or advice visit
MIND's website.
