This year’s edition of X-Factor is finally over, meaning a new star was born: America’s voters have decided to make Melanie Amaro, the winner of the contest.

Whether you like it or not, those TV competitions like American Idol, are an amazing platform for new artists to become ‘stars’: Kelly Clarkson, American Idol first winner ever back in 2002, achieved three platinum albums and two of them were US Album number ones. Her fifth album 'Stronger' reached number two in the US this year. Carrie Underwood, who right after winning the 2005 edition of American Idol, became a great country music star, achieved five Country Music Association Awards and 11 from the Academy Of Country Music Awards, among many others, throughout her career.
