Mr. Winehouse will deny the rights of Amy’s song for this project
It still remains unclear why Mr. Winehouse is so against the production of a biopic about her daughter Amy.
The reality is that even Amy’s ex boyfriend, filmmaker Reg Traviss, was approached to the production company behind this project to direct the film. Traviss turned down the offer, as he has recently revealed.
Mitch Winehouse is definitely not happy about the idea of creating a biopic and in order to keep this project from coming to fruition, he is ready to deny the rights of her music: "It would hardly be a biopic without the music and we'd never allow the songs to be released,” he said to Britain's Mail last Sunday.
