The salary discrimination doesn’t exist only in normal people. Famous people are also facing this discrimination issue. Here some:

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe earned $40 million for the last 2 films (20 million per film). While Emma Watson earned $30 million for the last 2 films (15 million per film). Mean Daniel Radcliffe won $5 million more than Emma Watson per movie.

Brad Pitt earned $20 million for the action movie "Mr. & Mrs. Smith", while Angelina Jolie earned $10 million. So he made the double of what she made.

Even for the movie “The Tourist” Johnny Depp was paid $20 million while Angelina Jolie got 19 million.

How can we explain this gap in the revenue? As I can see, they displayed the same effort in those movies.

Added: 05/25/11 Loulou makes a great point. In the case of Bradn & Johnny, I think Angelina put as much effort as they did in those movies and they were all main actors. But let's not forget that actors get their paychecks depending on their fame, looks, the number of people they can draw to the cinema, management, etc. And Brad Pitt, as well as Depp have all that. Now, in the Harry Potter series, Daniel Radcliffe plays the main part and clearly is the movie's main attraction. So maybe that justifies his paycheck in a way.
