Michael Jackson's sister has revealed her interest in becoming involved with the Show after Cowell's absence
It’s on! Now that’s Simon Cowell is officially leaving American Idol, the run to take over his seat on the Show just got started. And apparently it’s a pretty coveted job considering the magnitude of celebrities that are applying to the job.
TMZ reports that La Toya Jackson nonetheless is pulling some ropes to get the position. When contacted by TMZ, Michael Jackson’s sister told them: "I would LOVE to be a judge on 'American Idol.' I would love to have a chance for the public get to know the real me. I would be thrilled."
Rumor has it La Toya Jackson had some conversations with former "Idol" producer Nigel Lythgoe during a housewarming party for Kathy Hilton in Bel Air not too long ago, even before Cowell announced his plans of leaving the Show. The possibility of La Toya becoming a guest-judging on the contest was brought up then. But now that Cowell is not longer on the picture, Jackson wants more.
There’s no official word on the matter and it’s maybe too soon to wait for any statement from FOX. However it seems like speculations are going to be around until that happens.
