The appearance of Scottish talent Susan Boyle on the TV contest Britain’s Got Talent remains to be one of the greatest moments of Pop Culture history. Her incredible voice shocked the world, starting by Simon Cowell, who helped her to build her music career once the contest was over.
There’s no way back to Susan, who, since the contest finalized, she has sold 10 million albums and received a Grammy nomination last week.
Obviously this outstanding success translates to a big cash flow on Boyle’s account. The Scottish artist is said to have pocketed $16.5 million due to record sales, the release of her official autobiography and several TV appearances.
According to Cliff Dane from Britain's Sunday Times Rich List: "Unlike a lot of artists who write songs and have heavy touring commitments, most of Susan's income has come from old-fashioned record sales, mostly CDs as opposed to downloads due to the nature of her fanbase.”
