The story about the Food Network star and the musician has been totally fabricated.
Star magazine came up with this story which according to the parties it couldn’t be more untrue. The publication said that the celebrity chef and Food Network star Giada de Laurentiis and musician John Mayer had a torrid affair. Apparently the couple had been seen at NYC’s Standard hotel.
De Laurentiis, who unfortunately is trying to overcome the recent loss of her father, media mogul and producer Dino de Laurentiis, was also devastated by the story and her reps couldn’t shut down this rumor any faster: “It is a shame a media outlet such as Star needs to rely on disgraceful lies and hide behind false anonymous ‘sources’ in order to entertain their readers.”
Giada has briefly met John in the past and she definitely likes his music, however, the 40-year-old TV star is happily married to Anthropology designer Todd Thompson, and has a child.
Mayer, who has a long string of high-profile ex-girlfriends like Jennifer Aniston or Jessica Simpson, has also denied this story.
