His thirteen-year-old daughter has been fighting leukemia during the last four years
U2’s famous guitarist The Edge, whose real name is David Evans, always tried to keep his private life to himself and the truth of the matter is we don’t have a lot of information about what’s going on with his life.
Now, his partner Morleigh Steinberg has revealed that their thirteen-year-old daughter Siam, was diagnosed with leukemia back in 2006.
Steinberg made the effort to share their tragedy in order to inspire the people that are going through similar situations: "You're in shock then you just go into survival mode.” She continued: "the whole thing is hell but at the same time you stay positive and you really live. You live more because you don't want to take anything for granted."
Once David and Morleigh found out about her daughter’s illness, U2 postponed several dates of the concerts part of the Vertigo tour, so that the guitarist could take care of his family.
Young Siam has been treated in Los Angeles and Dublin and it looks like she got much better. Steinberg adds: "She's through it and she's fine."
We can only hope for Siam to get fully recovered soon.
