Well tbh, when it comes to the whole traitors thing having a meaning, the whole EP had a meaning because it was all about olivers girlfriend who is now his ex and it was also about how badly oli got treated in school and how his friends used to beat the shit out of him. and still alot of their songs whole in whole are about doing what the fuck you want with your life and living it to the max, thats the whole idea behind this band, hense their name "bring me the horizon" :)

One thing i noticed in this song is that anyone can take it in a different way
most of oli's songs are like that.
even if he didn't mean it his songs were written to let everyone have a sense of connection and understanding
like, for me, i think something terrible has happened in his life (whether he did it or not) and he is holding it in and is saying that god will not help him through it unless he believes in him but he has had no reason to believe.

I read in a recent interview of oli made by alternative press that the lyrics in this song are inspired by an actual uderlying secret that if told would definitely spell the end of the band also, that the night the event had taken place he found himself praying. He went on to explain that he didn't nesecerely believe in the christian god but that he discovered that night that he guessed he'd believed in a higher being of some sort. He never did say exactly what had happened

I think they should try to make the lyrics a TAD more intelligible. I hate having to look up lyrics for a song because I can't understand them in their own song.
