This is a hauntingly beautiful song but rather sad, and ominous to me. Mr. Bob needs to not dwell on this much longer, and choose the upward spiral.

I notice a ton of the lines come from another song on the album, Standing in the Doorway. This is simialr to other tracks from previous bootleg albums (I recall a few from the two Blood on th Tracks sessions) that are obvious off shoots or working drafts of things he was working on.

Yup, close, too close, to reality. As for Bob needing to choose an upward spiral - I always thought Bob's strength was that he never wrote about how things are not. No, I prefer his sad style, because it is more real - happy tails are seldom part of the real world... Ominous... Real... Sad...
