Biography:

Lil' Phat (July 25, 1992 - June 7, 2012), real name Melvin Vernell III, was an American rapper part of Trill Entertainment record label. Lil' Phat was born in Waco, Texas and moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana at a young age. He kicked off his music career as a teenager and was signed to Trill Entertainment in 2008. He released the mixtapes 'Life Of A Yungsta', 'Death Before Dishonor', 'Trill 4 Life' and the LP 'Never Use A Pen Again'. On June 7, 2012 Lil' Phat was fatally shot multiple times inside a parking garage near Atlanta's Northside Hospital. Two suspects, both males, were seeing running from the murder scene. Lil' Phat was 19-years-old.
