Biography:

Ian Siegal, whose real name is Ian Berry, is a British blues singer and guitarist. His style reflects the more rootsy side of the genre, drawing on influences such as Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters, Bo Diddley, Son House, Junior Kimbrough and Tom Waits. He has been active on the UK blues scene for many years, and is now starting to receive significant attention in other European countries, particularly since the release of his album, Swagger, the follow-up to his critically acclaimed Meat & Potatoes. In 2008 the album The Dust was released and it contains mainly solo performances. In 2009 Ian Siegal released another album together with his bandmembers Andy Graham on Bass and Nikolaj Bjerre on Drums "Broadside". This album "Broadside" was voted "Blues Album of the Year 2009" by Mojo Magazine UK! Siegal has released a total of five albums.
