Ian Hunter whose real name is Ian Hunter Patterson, was born on June 3, 1939, in Oswestry, Shropshire, UK. He is an English singer-songwriter. He was one of the founding members as well as the lead singer of the English rock band Mott the Hoople during its inception in 1969 to its dissolution in 1974. The band reunited in 2009. Before joining Mott, he was a musician and songwriter. After the band’s dissolution, Hunter kept writing music.Also he started a solo career and released two records: are "Once Bitten, Twice Shy" (later covered by Great White) and "Cleveland Rocks," made famous from a cover version on the American TV series The Drew Carey Show.
