Ian Carey is an American house DJ and record producer from Maryland, United States. Carey has sold over 10 million records worldwide and has performed as a disc jockey since 1993. In 1998, he started working as a record producer. His single Rise, which he produced along with Jason Papillon as part of Soul Providers, was a major hit in Europe and the US and achieved Gold certification in the UK. In 2003, Carey moved to the Netherlandsand then on to Spain in 2006. In 2008, his Top 10 single "Get Shaky" (released as The Ian Carey Project) achieved Double Platinum certification in Australia, Gold certification in New Zealand and a top ten sales chart position in the United Kingdom and Belgium. He has released a total of 16 singles.
